Mixing is the process of combining all the audio tracks recorded in the recording or production process into a single sound image for a song or project. Volume adjustments or panorama settings of the individual elements, such as instruments, voice tracks or audio tracks, are made.

These tracks are then sonically shaped with various dynamics processors (e.g. compressor, gate, limiter), equalizers (graphic EQ, parametric EQ), effects (e.g. reverb, delay) or amplifiers (e.g. guitar amp, bass amp) so that all tracks form a musical balance.

At the end of the mixing process, all processed tracks are either combined into a stereo mix. Afterwards the mastering process takes place. We also offer the appropriate mastering service for this.

The legislator has decided that orders "made to measure" - which in our case is mastering, mixing as well as any changes of audio material according to the customer's wishes, are excluded from the right of withdrawal § 355 Abs. 2 BGB new version. Therefore we cannot accept orders without consent.

What is Mixing ?

In audio production (music, film, radio plays, audio books, etc.), “mixing” or “mixdown” is the process of combining all the individual analog or digitally processed audio tracks into a single unit, the “stem”. It is the penultimate process in the recording studio, followed only by mastering.
